Vince Viola leaves McCann for partner role at The Media Village

Vince ViolaJust a few months after relocating to his home country of Australia after many years in Hong Kong, McCann’s long-serving executive Vince Viola has moved to branded content firm The Media Village.

Viola, who spent 15 years with McCann Hong Kong running the Cathay Pacific business before moving to Australia for a new business director role in October last year, will remain in Melbourne for his new job as partner and co-director with the Hong Kong-based company.

Viola has had two spells at McCann, first in Australia where he was group account director at the Sydney office for a four-year stint in the 1990s.

Also joining The Media Village is Ann Chu, a former CNN executive, as head of media and content solutions.

The Media Village’s founder Charles Edwards said: “We’re really excited for Vince and Ann to be joining us. Both bring a depth and breadth of talent that give The Media Village a significant advantage in this most exciting and still emerging space.”
