Screen Shot 2014-06-24 at 8.17.15 pmAdam Butterworth, CEO of one of Singapore’s biggest out-of-home players Clear Channel Singapore, is to depart for a role in another market, Mumbrella can reveal.

Butterworth will be replaced by Clear Channel Singapore’s sales and marketing director Kelly Khoo.

“An exciting opportunity opened up and given the outstanding work Adam has done turning around the Singapore business he was a natural choice,” said Mark Thewlis, executive chairman, Clear Media, while declining to specific which market he will be based in.

I am also truly thrilled that we are able to promote from within for Adam’s replacement.  Kelly Khoo started with Clear Channel Singapore in 2006 as our marketing director and then promoted to sales and marketing director before being offered this opportunity.”

Butterworth has been in the role for four years as head of the Singaporean division of the US outdoor company, which is also a major player in other markets in the region, including Australian outdoor company Adshel.

He has been with the company for more than 20 years; starting in the United Kingdom before moving to Adshel Australia in 2004 and then joining the Singapore operation in May 2010.
