BBH launches new Chuck ‘singing bottom’ ad for Chupa Chups

BBH Asia Pacific has created a new commercial featuring its mascot Chuck, with the branded message of ‘Life Less Serious’.

The ad features a teacher about to give the cane to his student before Chuck appears as the student’s bottom singing: “Do you really want to hurt me”.

“The aim, above all else, is to entertain, and to be remembered. In a cluttered confectionary market, standout and memorability is key,” said Tinus Strydom, creative director, BBH Asia Pacific. “A singing boy’s bottom should cut through that clutter.”

BBH Asia Pacific has been the global Agency of Record for Perfetti Van Melle’s Chupa Chups since 2008. Chuck has been the mascot for the brand since 2010 appearing in a number of ads including send ups of famous movies.
