Mumbrella Awards winners revealed
The winners of the Mumbrella Awards were revealed in Sydney last night.
Emerging as APAC creative agency of the year for the second year in a row was DDB, while Y&R was highly commended.
MediaCom was named APAC media agency of the year, with PHD receiving a high commendation.
APAC PR agency of the year went to Weber Shandwick. Waggener Edstrom was highly commended.
Jury captain Darren Woolley, MD of TrinityP3 commented: “It was clear across the three APAC categories judged that while all the shortlisted agencies had clearly had a good year, the winners where the agencies who articulated a clear strategy and direction.”
“Rather then simply reacting to the vagaries of a dynamic market, they showed that they are able to weather the ups and downs far better, and continue with a considered and implemented strategy. Yet, having a strategy does not mean they are locked into a particular position, because they also demonstrated that it allowed them to take opportunities as they presented themselves without losing momentum,” he said.
Colenso BBDO Auckland was once again named creative agency of the year for Australia and New Zealand.
