OMD breaks DDB’s 10-year hold on Singapore Effies
For the first time in ten years, an agency has recorded as many wins as DDB in the Singapore Effies.
Media agency OMD registered six Effie awards – as many as DDB, which has dominated this awards shows ever since it launched in Singapore. DDB had the most finalists again this year.
Ogilvy won the most gold awards, claiming one for the ‘I Quit 28 Day Countdown’ for the Health Promotion Board and one for ‘The Great Human Experience’ for the Singapore Tourism Board.
BBDO, which emerged as the APAC Effies agency of the year in April, won one gold for its Arthur’s Day campaign for Guinness.
There was no Grand Effie awarded this year.
The news comes as OMD won more awards than any other agency at the local Effies Awards in Hong Kong.
