Saatchi & Saatchi launches ‘Be A Monster’ internship program in China

Creative agency Saatchi & Saatchi has launched the latest iteration of its internship program, Be A Monster, in China.

In June 6th, 2014, Saatchi & Saatchi officially launched its 2014 internship program, Be A Monster.

The program is an extension of the Monsters Attack campaign initiated by the agency this February. Saatchi & Saatchi defines “monster” as the tenacity to take your ideas to a new level, the confidence to summit the highest peak, an affinity for the unorthodox and the radical; Be A Monster means fully unleashing your creative powers and having a youthful spirit at the very core of your DNA.

The application period runs from now to June 30th advertising worldwide. All applicants are required to identify the quality that best embodies their “monster side,” and design a monster avatar to represent that aspect of their personality. As an applicant, you can choose any forms of expression, create your own interpretative work , upload it (or a link it) to your Sina Weibo and share it with (@盛世长城中国).

40 interns accepted will begin a five-week Go Wild trial by fire, lasting from July 14th to August 15th. During this period, stand-out interns may be offered for formal jobs or may receive “the ultimate key pass,” which will open the door for a formal interview at any Saatchi & Saatchi office they choose worldwide.

Part of the applicants will also be offered a chance to visit Saatchi & Saatchi’s Shanghai office June, when they may enjoy a showing of the latest Cannes-winning ads, then get to on 25th meet Saatchi & Saatchi Global Chief Talent Officer, Ben Roberts, who will also share the latest information on the agency ‘s talent management.

Ben Roberts said: “Our goal is to inspire creative passion in young people all over the world and help them to fully realize their potential through this kind of Internship Program at every Saatchi’s offices. Chinese students are always creative and very talented, and I look forward to meeting them in person this June in China.”

The campaign called for advertising practitioners to seek new ideas, embrace change and make new breakthroughs, sparking a series of revolutions in the ad industry which are intended to bring China’s ad industry into a new golden era.
