CEO of McCann Singapore Ben Lightfoot is to depart the agency after almost four years in the role and will be replaced by Robert Doswell.

Doswell, who is currently Asia Pacific regional managing director of sister creative agency Craft, will take over as CEO from August 1 with responsibility for both agencies.

Charles Cadell President. Asia Pacfic McCann Worldgroup said Doswell had the right experience for the role. “Rob has over 13 years in the Lion City,” he said.

“He’s an effective business leader, with a true entrepreneurial spirit having run one of Singapore’s most innovative and awarded creative engines, to building MWG’s influential creative production service, Craft, as its regional managing director.”

“I’d like to thank Ben for his passion and energy for driving McCann Singapore to become a key competing Agency network in Singapore and wish him well for his future.”

Doswell joined McCann Worldgroup in April 2012 to launch, integrate and lead Craft across the Asia Pacific region. Today Craft operates across 8 markets with a team of almost 200 people in Asia Pacific. Clients include OCBC, Maxis and L’Oreal.

“It’s an exciting time to run an agency. The industry is learning how to adapt to changing consumer behavior, client demands and a diverging media landscape. There is a need to evolve fast, to win. This helps us to focus, drive greater creative ideas, and produce work more efficiently than ever before. I’m looking forward to working with the Singapore team to meet this challenge,” said Doswell.
