Dentsu Media Thailand hires first ECD

Nut at Dentsu Media ThailandA media agency in Thailand has hired an executive creative director.

Dentsu Media Thailand has brought in Nutchanun Chiaphanumas, or Nut for short, as the company’s first ECD. He joins from Ogilvy & Mather Beijing, where he was group CD.

Dentsu Media Thailand CEO Mitsuyuki Nakamura, who was recently appointed president for Dentsu Media Southeast Asia, said: “With the rapid growth of our content business unit we have been expanding our creative capabilities. We established our Content Ideation and Acquisition (CIA) division to expand communication opportunities for our clients. Bringing on Nut to lead our creative efforts, not just for our content divisions but for all the Dentsu Media Thailand brands, is one more step on this journey.”

“Our clients are looking beyond traditional media solutions, and we are more than happy to innovate and grow with them by amping up our strengths in that area. Nut, with his experience, talent and standing in the industry, is the perfect addition to our team,” he said.

Nutchanun commented: “I realize that transferring to a media agency might be considered an unusual move by some. But after hearing Nakamura lay out his vision and plans for this agency, I soon realized that his ambitions and mine are very much aligned. Nakamura is thinking outside the box and is not constrained by traditional borders between creative and media. He wants to solve his clients’ problems – whichever way possible – and bringing on a creative was a logical next step for his agency. I’m very excited to be a part of that journey and I’m looking forward to breaking down more walls.”

In his career, he’s worked at Leo Burnett Hong Kong, BBDO Bangkok and McCann Erickson Thailand.
