Y&R Thailand’s ‘The Power of Love’ ad for telco dtac pulls 8m Youtube views in a week

A new heartfelt ad for Thailand telco dtac, created by Y&R Thailand, has drawn more than 8 million online views in the week since it was first posted.

Called ‘The Power of Love’ the 2-minute short tugs at heartstrings showing a new dad struggling to stop his newborn from crying.

The message of the ad is that technology can never replace love and  on YouTube, its primary version in Thai with English subtitles, has exceeded 7 million views; with over 70,000 views in Spanish, 30,000 in Norwegian and 20,000 in Chinese; while the Chinese version on Youku has exceeded 1 million.
