BBH eyes Delhi launch
Creative agency BBH is planning to launch in Delhi, expanding beyond its existing Indian operations in Mumbai.
The London-headquartered agency hopes to launch within six to eight months, according to the CEO of BBH India, Subhash Kamath.
In an interview with Mumbrella on how to set up an agency in India, the former group CEO of Bates India said that his only regret since launching BBH India in 2009 was not launching sooner in Delhi.
When asked about his intention to launch the famous agency brand in Delhi, he said: “Yes, I am. But I need the right clients and the right people.”
BBH India’s client include Unilever, Diageo, World Gold Council, Vespa, Red Bull, Skoda, Viber and Marico. The agency currently has 72 staff in its office in the district of Santacruz in India’s commercial capital.
BBH, which was founded in the early eighties by British ad men John Bartle, Nigel Bogle and John Hegarty, has Asian offices in Shanghai and Singapore, where its APAC headquarters are located. It closed its Tokyo office in 2008.
