BBH names James Sowden head of planning and David Webster chief growth officer

BBH has promoted James Sowden to head of planning and David Webster to the newly created new business role of chief growth officer.

Both also hold the title of managing partner.

Sowden, who joined BBH in 2008 from the now-defunct planning agency Bellamyhayden, moves up from engagement planning director. He has led strategy for BBH clients including Johnnie Walker, Singapore Tourism Board, Axe, Chupa Chups and IKEA.

Webster, who was an account director at BBH London before moving to Asia in 2008, is promoted from digital business development director. During nine years at the agency, he has worked on accounts including Perfetti Van Melle, British Airways and Nike.

Frances Great, MD at BBH Asia Pacific, said: “James and David are both exceptional guys with unique talent and skills that are integral to the future facing aspect of our business. I’m so proud of what our two homegrown black sheep have achieved.”
