Edelman video series interviews India’s ‘Crossroad generation’ of ‘fighters, risk-takers and believers’

Edelman has launched the final instalment of its ‘Words of a generation’ video interview series for marketers in Asia, this time focusing on the ‘crossroad generation’ of Indians born in the mid-seventies when their country was opening up to the world.

The interviews question what it has been like for people living in this era, and explores themes ranging from love and dreams to technology and travel. The interviews were conducted in February – in the run-up to the recent elections.

The interviewees talk about “the jealousy of social happiness”, question the meaning of “value and tradition” and confront issues such as corruption, gender inequality and the tensions around religion and caste.

The first film, themed ‘Love’.

The India video series comes after studies of people in MalaysiaSingapore, China and Vietnam.
