Lowe Profero hires Matt Lanning as APAC engagement planning director as agency merges offices with parent in Singapore

Digital agency Lowe Profero has hired an engagement planning director to work across both its own and its parent agency brand in Asia.

Former Wunderman Australia director of communications planning Matt Lanning joins Lowe Profero in the newly created role after a period away from the industry travelling. He will be based in Singapore.

His appointment comes as Lowe Profero moves into the premises of its parent company Lowe & Partners in Singapore, the first market where the two brands have merged their physical working spaces. Profero was acquired by Lowe & Partners at the start of this year.

Lanning will report to Lowe Profero’s Southeast Asia boss Stuart Edwards.

Edwards described Lanning as “a world-class planner” with “the vision to create comms plans influenced as much by a Google keyword as a TVC or print execution.”

“This is a crucial hire as we power up to be the preeminent agency across the region,” Edwards said.

In Lanning’s career, he has also worked at media agency MEC in Los Angeles, and at Starcom in both LA and Singapore.
