Havas Worldwide Japan hires Ogilvy’s David Morgan as executive creative director

Creative agency Havas Worldwide has hired creative veteran David Morgan as executive creative director for its Japan office.

Morgan, who has worked in Japan since 2005, will oversee creative for brands including Air France, Alcon, Alpine Electronics, BMW Motorrad, Evian, IBM, Orbis and Pernod Ricard.

In Morgan’s career, he has led the creative and marketing function for Pepe Jeans in London and launched Dove’s Real Beauty campaign while at Bates CHI & Partners in Japan. He joins Havas after a five and a half year stint as ECD for Ogilvy Japan.

Stephen Cox, CEO of Havas Worldwide Japan, said in a press release: “David is a world-class creative, and his passionate affinity for Japanese consumers and the trajectories of client industries complement his deep, award-winning experience across new and traditional channels – and that really sets him apart in a very competitive market.”
