LinkedIn mobile app now available in Chinese

LinkedIn, the business social network, has introduced new languages including Chinese for its mobile phone app.

The announcement:

LinkedInLinkedIn is expanding its new LinkedIn Profile on mobile experience to all of the languages supported internationally for the flagship LinkedIn for Phone (both Android AND iPhone) apps. In addition to the English language version launched in July, international members are now able to enjoy the new guided edit experience in Chinese (Simplified and Traditional) and 14 other languages.

A LinkedIn Profile is the professional identity of record. It’s also the heart of LinkedIn. In Hong Kong, more than 50% of traffic on LinkedIn comes from mobile devices compared to desktop. The new LinkedIn Profile on mobile exemplifies how LinkedIn helps professionals tell their story to others on the go. The new LinkedIn Profile on mobile enables users to discover insights about other professionals with the “in common” and endorsements sections – and use these as ice breakers when meeting someone for the first time.

As LinkedIn continues to build out both its mobile and desktop member experiences, it will work hard to ensure that user’s experience from one platform to another is seamless.
