Weber Shandwick Japan appoints Grace Fromm deputy MD

Grace FrommPR agency Weber Shandwick has appointed Grace Fromm as deputy MD for its Japan operation.

The announcement:

TOKYO, 19 September, 2014Weber Shandwick, one of the world’s leading global public relations firms, announced today the appointment of Grace Fromm as deputy managing director, Japan, effective immediately.

A business professional with more than two decades of experience, Fromm will oversee international client services and the firm’s digital and consumer offering in Japan. She will continue to build a best-in-class team in this very important market.

“Grace’s extensive communications and complex project management experience, both within Japan and overseas markets, makes her a significant new leader for our organisation and clients,” said Tim Sutton, Weber Shandwick chairman, Asia Pacific. Fromm will report to Hitoshi Shioya, country representative for Japan.

Prior to Weber Shandwick, Fromm held roles at Overture Japan (acquired by Yahoo! Inc.), where she successfully built and managed an extensive sales team, in addition to her previous role at a PR agency in Japan. She was also previously the COO of WomenJapan.com and held positions at AT&T in Japan and the U.S.
