Wunderman, the WPP direct and digital agency, has opened an analytics centre in Singapore to strengthen its data capabilities.

The Centre for Advanced Analytics, launched in partnership with Singapore’s Economic Development Board, will focus on hiring, training and mentoring local talent in data analytics.

It will be housed within Wunderman’s regional HQ in Singapore, and will serve as a repository for the agency’s digital and data know-how. It will also feed off the agency’s global resources, such as social measurement platform BrandSnap.

Martin Conneen, Wunderman APAC’s regional president said the ability for marketers and agencies to gather, interpret and strategically apply data has “never been more relevant”.

“From Big Data, we can deliver “actionable analytics” to our clients, and these consumer insights will only strengthen our creative work,” he said.

“Creativity and data need not be at odds – in fact, they work best in tandem: Data points the way and creativity builds the bridges that connects brands with consumers.”
