Australian and New Zealand media company APN has hired an executive to spearhead the push of its out-of-home division into Southeast Asia.

Patrick Chaundy joins APN Out Of Home as MD for Southeast Asia from Dubai-based Q Media, where he was general manager.

His appointment comes three months after APN acquired Hong Kong bus advertising firm Buspak, acquiring the 50 per cent of the company that it did not already own from rival firm Clear Channel. Chaundy will be based in Hong Kong.

APN News & Media CEO Michael Miller, said: “Following the full acquisition of Hong Kong Outdoor in July, Patrick’s appointment reflects APN’s ambition to pursue new Out of Home opportunities in the growing South East Asia market.”
