Omnicom digital chief Jason Kuperman returns to the US after eight years in Asia
The head of Omnicom’s digital operations for Asia has relocated to the US, Mumbrella can reveal.
Jason Kuperman, an architect turned digital evangelist, has overseen the digital capabilities of Omnicom, including agencies OMD, DDB, BBDO, PHD and TBWA, since 2009.
He has moved back to his home country for family reasons and is to remain with the Omnicom group, Mumbrella understands. The company has yet to find a replacement for Kuperman’s role in Asia.
Kuperman first came to Asia in 2007 to launch Omnicom’s Agency.com brand in the region from Shanghai.
Two years later, he was handed the lead strategic role for Omnicom Digital across Asia Pacific, India, Middle East and Africa.
Kuperman began his career in marketing in 1988 at one of the US’s most famous agencies, Chiat/Day, now TBWA\Chiat\Day. He set up Chiat/Day’s first interactive operation in the 1990’s as digital director.
