Riverorchid hires South African Jacques Erasmus to lead insights business



Indochina specialist agency Riverorchid has made a new appointment to boost its research and insights capabilities.

Relocating from South Africa is Jacques Erasmus, who takes on the new role of general manager of Riverorchid Insight.

Erasmus was marketing and operations director of Idea Foundry in Johannesburg before moving to Asia.

The role will be regional, with a focus on Myanmar and Cambodia.

Riverorchid director Warwick Olds said the position has been created “to oversee our rapidly expanding traditional market research business as well as drive our expansion into the worlds of shopper and shop-keeper insight and traction which we have been trialling in various parts of the group for over a year.”

“Jacques’s hybrid experience in brands, activation, insight and retail, combined with his extensive developing market and traditional trade knowledge makes him unusually well placed to take on this role,” Olds said.
