Xaxis launches product to enable simultaneous broadcast of ads on TV and mobile devices

Xaxis logoGroupM programmatic trading arm Xaxis has launched a service that enables advertisers in Asia to run TV ads at the same time as messages on mobile devices.

Called Xaxis Sync, the technology gives advertisers a way to reach people as their attention shifts from the TV screen to their smartphone, tablet or laptop during commercial breaks, the company says.

The service, which launched in Europe and the US earlier this year, will be available in China, Japan, Australia, Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore and Malaysia.

“Television viewing is an increasingly multi-screen affair as the number of global consumers watching television with one or more companion devices continues to grow,” said Brian Lesser, global CEO of Xaxis.

“Xaxis Sync meets consumers where they are, bringing the reach and accuracy of real-time programmatic to second-screen advertising across the most trafficked apps, mobile properties and websites.”

Michel de Rijk, managing director, APAC for Xaxis, added: “Xaxis Sync has proven to be an extremely popular product in the North America and Europe markets and we are pleased to introduce it across the APAC region.”

“With the explosion of second screen media consumption, Xaxis Sync offers the industry’s most effective tool for reengaging consumers on their laptops, smartphones and tablets in an organic manner during TV commercials.”
