Dr Mumbo

If all fails, eat chocolate

Dr Mumbo might just have stumbled upon adland’s best out-of-office email reply today, courtesy of Leo Burnett’s Jennifer Skidgel, who heads up the agency’s global awards effort based in Chicago.

She writes:

Greetings and Salutations!

I am on vacation and will not have access to email or vociemail until December 1.

Yes you read that correctly. I’m not checking in for the next two weeks and taking time to recharge my batteries for the busy 2015 awards season that is rapidly approaching.

Never fear! Below is a fairly comprehensive list of places you can go for help while I’m out:

If you need assistance on finding LBWW assets, most all of them can be found on Planet Leo, which you can access through The Notepad. GPC 7+ logs and past GPC scores can also be found on Planet Leo as well.

If you are looking for competitive assetts, or winning cases from Cannes, Leo Burnett has a group subscription to Coloribus. Details on login information can be found under the Information Resources section of the Notepad.

If you are asking if we have a network subscription to the Cannes Lions Archive, no we do not. See point above, or, if you really want access to the Lions Archive, you will need to purchase a subscription on your own.

Questions on #LikeAGirl submissions? Please reach out to Shaina Holtz and Jesse Brook. Both ladies will be able to answer your queries.

Questions on LB Chicago awards, glitter, or anything pink, Wynne Jacobson can help!

Questions on Arc Worldwide Chicago or Lapiz awards, the Kardashians, or musings on what not to wear, Kara Peterson can help!

If all else fails, try Google. Seriously. It’s where I find out a lot of stuff people think that I just know. (Crap, now you know my secret weapon!)

If you feel panicked because you have an advertising emergency that you can’t resolve with one of the above things, take a deep breath and eat a piece of chocolate. It may not solve your current conundrum, but I bet you feel better!

And finally, if you’re looking to me for a dose of laughter, check this out:

Have an awesome day and I promise to be in touch as soon as I’m back in the office on December 1st.

Jen
