Digital agency Lowe Profero has expanded its footprint in China, opening an office in the Southwestern city of Chengdu.

The office will serve as a digital production hub and an extension of the Beijing office.

It will be run by Lowe Profero’s MD for China Jackie Xu Rui and Beijing general manager Allessandro Grena.

Lowe Profero’s global CEO Wayne Arnold called the move a “logical extension” of the agency’s Asian strategy.

“We have been operating in China since 2006, a legacy that allowed us to identify Chengdu as a logical next location due to its increasing significance as a social, economic and technical hub.”

The Chengdu office adds to the agency’s Greater China presence in Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong, where Lowe Profero re-opened in October last year.

Jackie Xu Rui said: “We are constantly working to bridge the gap between creativity and technology, allowing brands and consumers to explore new possibilities and discover new experiences using the latest web and mobile technology.”

“Opening in Chengdu gives us expanded capacity, offering world class digital production solutions across all of our network in a more cost effective way,” she said.

The launch comes less than a year after Profero was acquired by ad agency network Lowe.
