Coca-Cola calls on Filipinos to make Christmas decorations out of empty bottles in ‘Share Sari-Saring Happiness’ campaign

Coca-Cola is running a Christmas campaign in the Philippines with the central theme of sharing happiness, and is encouraging Filipinos to make festive decorations out of empty Coke bottles.

A TV ad created by Ogilvy shows the various occasions in which Coke can be shared over the Christmas holidays.

The spot ends with the line Share Sari-Saring Happiness, and the hashtag #sarisaringhappiness.

A video hosted on Coke’s website shows how to make a Christmas parol out of five empty Coke bottles.

Consumers were encouraged to post their creations in social media, and the best were eligible to win prizes.

The agency behind the campaign was Ogilvy, which won Coke’s digital marketing business from McCann’s direct and digital arm MRM only a few months ago. Starcom, which handled the offline media planning and buying for Coke in the Philippines, was awarded the paid digital media business.
