BBDO Singapore promotes senior suit Joe Braithwaite to GM
Ad agency BBDO has promoted a senior suit to run its Singapore office as general manager.
Joe Braithwaite, who has been with the agency since 2008 running accounts such as Guinness, Fonterra and Tiger Beer, takes on the role and will report into Jean-Paul Burge, CEO BBDO Singapore and president BBDO Southeast Asia. He moves up after six years as client services director.
Burge described Braithwaite as “one of our very best, who always brings his very best to everything he does” in a press statement about his promotion. “I have no doubt that he will continue to dedicate all his talents to his role as general manager and well beyond,” Burge said.
Braithwaite joined BBDO from Iris Worldwide Singapore, where he spent five years as account director.
Braithwaite commented: “BBDO and Proximity Singapore is an office bursting with potential. We have truly brilliant people, fantastic clients and a genuine passion to do work that works. I feel incredibly privileged to be invited to take up a management position that allows me to play a larger role in shaping the destiny of this agency,” said Braithwaite on his promotion.
You forgot to mention he was the strategic brains behind the stunning guinnes now in bottles campaign that used 5 ads instead of 1 in IS Magazine based on the rare insight that 5 ads at one time are way more effective at one…especially if you have one on each consecutive page…..so even if 4 of the magazines pages are stuck together chances are you will still see one.
