DigitasLBi China appoints Jamie Zhao as CD

Publicis Groupe digital agency DigitasLBi has appointed a new group creative director in China, with Jamie YJ Zhao moving from Razorfish to take the role.

Zhao joins the ranks of a small number of senior female creative directors in the region with a reputation from her work on brands including Nike, Converse, Unilever, Pepsi, and L’Oreal.

She will work alongside the agency’s MD Lamy Zhang.

Zhao said in a press statement: “Digital is now everywhere in China, so creativity is not only about going broad, but going deep. We’re creating possibilities in life, connections with people and their surroundings, and subconsciously trying to change behaviour and perceptions. My approach is to focus on storytelling, rather than on gimmicks, special effects or technology for technology’s sake.”
