Marketing Society launches coaching club for Asia’s budding marketing directors

Marketing Society logoThe Marketing Society, a British club for marketers that launched an Asian arm just over a year ago, has launched a training program for the region’s aspiring marketing directors.

The 2015 International Marketing Leaders Programme is aimed at marketers “who are about to take on a significant leadership role, such as becoming a marketing director,” according to the Marketing Society.

The program, which is to be run in partnership with Brand Learning, will take place in April and May in Singapore. There are just 20 places available for the residential course.

Speakers at the event include Claire Chiang, co-founder and senior VP, Banyan Tree, Sanjay Gangopadhyay, senior marketing director, Southeast Asia, Nike, Paddy Rangappa, VP brand development, McDonald’s, Sandeep Kohli, chairman and vice president, Indochina (Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos), CMO and vice president Southeast Asia Australasia, Unilever and James Thompson, global MD, Diageo.

Hugh Burkitt, CEO of The Marketing Society said: “At The Marketing Society we are constantly asking ourselves what makes a great marketing leader and now we’ve expanded into Asia we want to ensure our Asia members have the same amazing opportunities as those in the UK.
