Frances Great, the managing director of BBH Asia Pacific, has left the region after a long stint for a role at the Publicis Groupe agency network’s office in Los Angeles.

Great calls time on 12 years with BBH in Asia. Before she moved to the region in 2002, she spent two years with BBH in London, where the network is headquartered.

Replacing her at BBH’s regional HQ in Singapore is Ogilvy veteran Chee Yan Yi, who joins as general manager.

Chee has worked for Ogilvy for two decades in Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and Singapore, where she worked most recently as managing partner running the Singtel business. She has led regional and local teams for clients including Nestle, Glaxo SmithKline, Kimberly Clark and Unilever.

In a statement John Hadfield, BBH APAC’s CEO, said that Chee’s combination of regional and local client experience, her strong track record in agency operations, culture and talent development made her right for the role.

“She’s a perfect fit for our current needs as a business. We are very excited to welcome her to BBH and know that she will be a success here,” he said.

Chee commented: ‘I am very excited to have been given this opportunity to join BBH in a role that not only focuses on managing clients but also allows thoughtful time for people, process and being future fit. BBH Asia Pacific has a great portfolio of clients doing some great work and I am honored to be part of shaping the agency’s continued growth and success.’

She starts on 2 March.
