Dentsu Aegis Network launches media investment arm Amplifi in China

Dentsu Aegis Network has launched media investment arm Amplifi in China.

The unit houses Dentsu Aegis Network’s programmatic and content offerings as well as investment management capabilities, and will be led in China by Tsuyoshi Suganami, CEO of Dentsu Media Greater China. Tsuyoshi takes on the additional role of president of Amplifi China based in Shanghai.

Also on the Amplifi team are Lisa Wei, chief investment officer of Dentsu Aegis Network China, who will be deputy president. DAN China EVP Meg Chen will join the team as head of media partnerships. Lawrence Wan continues in his role running Amnet, DAN’s agency trading desk.

Phil Teeman, group MD of Dentsu Aegis Network China, said: “It’s an important milestone for us to officially launch Amplifi in China. China is at the forefront ofinnovation in social, mobile, e-commerce and content. To form that matrix integrating investment management, media partnerships, technology and contents empowered by data under Amplifi allows us to leverage the group’s scale and develop innovative solutions for our clients across all of our agencies.”

China is only the second APAC market where Amplifi has launched, the first being Australia.
