James Bernardo has moved on from FCB Manila where he was chief creative officer to join media agency Havas Media Ortega.

Bernardo brings to an end just over two years at FCB. He joined in September 2012 from shopping mall giant SM Retail, where he was VP of marketing.

He joins HVMO as executive creative director.

FCB Manila boss Arnold Liong confirmed the news, saying that the search for a new CCO is under way.  FCB recently hired a new GM, Ellen Samano, to replace Tom Eugenio, who left the agency in March.

Bernardo has experience working at Bates, where he was ECD, and Ogilvy & Mather where he was creative director.

HVMO produces content for clients including telco giant Globe.

The news comes a month after HVMO won a multi-agency pitch for the media account of one of the Philippines’ largest advertisers, Inbisco.
