Sentosa seeks everyday Singaporeans who have lost touch with their fun side

The fun movementSingapore’s island resort of Sentosa has launched a campaign today to find “everyday heroes” who deserve a break.

Singaporeans can nominate those who they feel deserves some time off on a Sentosa “The fun movement” microsite. Entries that get the highest number of public votes on the site will be rewarded with a surprise “day of fun” in Sentosa. The deadline is 3 July.

The campaign launches with two films, created by Grey Singapore, that show the sacrifices made by a single father and a caregiver. “There are many amongst us who have lost touch with their fun side,” the first film begins.

Grey Group Singapore’s CCO Ali Shabaz said: “The Fun Movement aims to get people to think about the unsung heroes in our lives, the selfless people who have given up so much of their time.”

Susan Ang, divisional director of Sentosa Development Corporation’s island investment and branding team, said: “This initiative to strengthen Sentosa’s connection with Singaporeans also ties in with our island resort’s SG50 celebrations. We hope to recognise the dedication and spirit of everyday Singaporeans who, in their own ways, have contributed to the growth and development of Singapore.”

The campaign comes the day after Singtel launched a campaign that celebrated Singapore’s “everyday heroes” behind the SEA Games.
