Harbour City to Periscope live Where’s Wally exhibit in Hong Kong

Where's Wally?Hong Kong’s largest shopping mall, Harbour City, is one of the first brands in Asia to make use of Twitter’s live video streaming platform Periscope for a marketing campaign.

The mall, which brought Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman’s giant rubber duck to the harbour two years ago, is bringing popular children’s book character Where’s Wally? to Hong Kong as part of a live exhibition and will be Periscoping highlights from the event, which is being sponsored by Mini.

Starting today, Wally’s arrival and trip to Harbour City in a Mini Cooper will feature on the live streaming platform.

The mall has been transformed into a ‘Land of Wallies’, with a book and 48 figurines emerging from it exhibited on the Ocean Terminal forecourt. Visitors are invited to find the Wally without a shoe.

Five Wally-themed Minis will be on display.

To raise awareness of the exhibit, and to lead visitors around the mall, Harbour City is holding a fan contest, charity walk and hide-and-seek competition.
