Lewis PR has changed its leadership team in Asia Pacific, with Scott Pettet taking over the top job from Andy Oliver, who is moving back to the UK after six years in the region.

Pettet takes on the role of senior vice president Asia Pacific from 1 August.

Oliver, who has spent much of his career at Lewis, starting out as an account manager in London in 1996, is to return to the British capital to take on a global client management role from 2 November.

Pettet has been with Lewis since 2006, rising from associate director to GM of the Sydney operation, to APAC VP in 2011. He will be based in Singapore and report to Andres Wittermann, EVP for EMEA and APAC.

Lewis PR’s CEO, Chris Lewis, said: “After almost a decade with the company, Scott has proven to be a very capable leader. Under Andy’s leadership, the company has doubled in size in Asia Pacific in the last three years.”

“This is also our goal moving forward, to double in size again by 2018. We will achieve this through a combination of focused organic growth and strategic acquisitions, taking us into new geographies and adding to our digital marketing portfolio,” he said.

The news emerges three months after Lewis announced a cash injection of $27 million, which in Asia is to fund expansion in India and China.
