STOMP asks Singaporeans to rat on backstabbers to win $100 shopping voucher

Singapore Press Holdings citizen journalism website STOMP is running a competition that asks people to share stories about who has betrayed them to win $100 worth of shopping vouchers.

“Have you ever been backstabbed by someone close to you — a colleague, a sibling or someone close to you?” the website asks in ads that are running on STOMP and also offline in Singapore Press Holdings newspapers. The ad features an illustration of a woman in a hospital with a knife stuck in her back.

“It’s never easy to be betrayed by someone whom you put so much trust in. Share your experience with us and tell us how you dealt with the situation,” the website asks.

The entrant with the best comment of at least 100 words will win $100 in shopping vouchers. Two runners up will get $50 vouchers.

“To increase your chances of winning, do elaborate on your points to present a compelling argument,” the blurb reads, and asks for people to include their name and telephone number.

The competition ends tomorrow.
