Partner at GroupM agency Vocanic, Liam McCance, quits for ‘entrepreneurial pursuits’

liamOne of the partners of social marketing agency Vocanic, Liam McCance, is to depart after almost eight years with the agency.

McCance, who is also country head for Malaysia and Thailand, is leaving to “undertake entrepreneurial pursuits outside of the social space”.

He joined the business in March 2008 as regional business development director before becoming a partner in 2012.

Vocanic sold to GroupM in 12013.

Chief executive Ian Mckee said: “We are sorry to see Liam go but we wish him the very best of luck in his new endeavors.”

Puneet Arora, GroupM Singapore CEO and Chairman, Group M Philippines and Thailand added: “Group M is confident that we have a great team at Vocanic, which Liam has helped to build and groom. We acquired Vocanic in 2013 and together we have built a strong strategy for continued growth.”

Vivienne Maguire recently joined Vocanic as general manager, Malaysia.
