StarHub says ‘Beat the haze’ with a free pay-TV preview
StarHub is offering much of its pay-TV service for free in a four-day promo it says will help Singaporeans stay out of the haze by tuning in to “a weekend of family time” at home.
From 5pm today until 28 September, StarHub TV viewers will get free access to 140 channels including BBC World News, HBO, Discovery Channel, STAR World, AXN, FOX Sports, Cartoon Network and Zee TV, which will also be available on StarHub Go for people watching on mobiles and tablets.
The offer, which is detailed on StarHub.com, does not cover on-demand channels or shows.
“Let’s huddle up with our loved ones on the sofa and beat the haze with over 140 StarHub TV channels on Free Preview. Because there’s no time like family time,” the company said in a press release this afternoon.
“With PSI numbers reaching a year-high of 341 this week, we at StarHub believe family can turn the unbearable into the unforgettable, which is why we’re turning this weekend into a weekend of family time for all StarHub TV customers,” the company wrote.
Id rather breathe haze than subject myself to the highway robbery by cable companies….they are the dinosaurs of yesterday that are being disrupted by more reasonable (honest?) businesses. They know they are losing customers by the busload every day, hence these lame attempts to bond with customers.
If I have a vpn i can watch netflix for 8usd a month…haze or no haze. So there.
