Iris Singapore hires Maria Leow as agency’s first regional head of talent
Iris Worldwide has hired its first head of talent acquisition and development for the Asia Pacific region.
Joining the agency with 20 years of advertising experience after a short stint at Leo Burnett is Maria Leow, who takes on the role of business director with a twin remit as a senior suit and head of talent.
She will run the agency’s career management programme Myris, and will also lead key accounts such as SK-II and Shell.
Craig Mapleston, MD of iris Singapore, said: “Maria comes to iris at a really important time in our growth. As a proven senior account handler, she’ll be driving the success of some of our most important accounts. And with her wealth of experience and leadership success, Maria is ideally placed to help us attract the best talent and work with our staff across the region to help them get the most out of their experiences at iris.”
Leow had a four-month spell at Leo Burnett Singapore as a brand director. She has also worked at Grey, Y&R and M&C Saatchi in senior suit roles.
She commented: “I am very pleased to be part of the iris Worldwide family. People are at the heart of every business; I could feel the great energy, synergy and ownership the team has taken in this dynamic agency. I look forward to leveraging on my experience in the advertising and marketing sectors to bring iris Worldwide to greater heights.”
