LinkedIn reveals Hong Kong marketing and advertising power profiles

Antony Yiu, head of search and performance at MEC Asia Pacific, is the only agency executive to feature on a list of the most-viewed LinkedIn profiles in marketing and advertising in Hong Kong.

Yiu joins eight other executives, all on the client side of the business, on the list of LinkedIn marketing and advertising power profiles published by the business social network yesterday evening.

Two of the nine executives on the list work in digital marketing roles, one is a sponsorship specialist, and the rest have responsibility for the entire marketing function.

Among them are Giles Morgan‘s, HSBC’s global head of sponsorship and events, who was an outspoken critic of brands that do little to amplify their sponsorship activity beyond badging in the recent Sports Matters event in Singapore.

Digital marketers on the list are Rose Luk, manager of digital marketing at Standard Chartered Bank and Min Lai, senior marketing manager, e-commerce and digital, APAC, at fashion lifestyle brand Fossil.

Marketers will overall responsibility for marketing on the power list are Adrian Toy, Asia Pacific marketing director for Puma, Jason Dehni, Asia CMO at Manulife Financial and Sunshine Farzan, VP, head of marketing at MetLife.

Steven Taylor, CMO of Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts and Lisa Wang, VP, head of APAC marketing for asset management firm State Street Global Advisors are also featured.

The most viewed ad and marketing industry LinkedIn profiles in Singapore were released last month. The list included 14 executives including WPP’s Scott Spirit, Standard Chartered head of digital marketing Damien Cummings and newly appointed director of marketing for the World Federation of Advertisers, Ranji David.
