Dentsu appoints 32-year veteran Takaki Hibino to run ad and media agency brands in APAC

Dentsu Aegis has appointed agency veteran Takaki Hibino, who has worked for the agency since 1983, to oversee the Dentsu creative and media agency brands across the region.

Hibino, a senior suit who has managed clients such as Coke, McDonald’s and Shiseido over 32 years with Dentsu, will be based in Singapore and report to Nick Waters, Dentsu Aegis network CEO for APAC, and Hiroaki Charlie Sano, executive officer of Dentsu Inc. and CEO of Dentsu’s ad and media agency brands.

Nick Waters, CEO Dentsu Aegis Network Asia Pacific said in a press release: “I’m delighted that Hibino-san will join us next year to take Dentsu’s great strength in creativity and technology to the next level and drive Dentsu media’s growth in content and sports capabilities. He brings with him a wealth of international knowledge and experience and I’m confident he will be able to develop the two agency businesses further across the region.”

Sano added: “Hibino-san will be able to create a clear proposition for both brands so clients can utilise the diverse marketing capabilities within the business. I look forward to seeing how Dentsu Brand Agency and Dentsu media in APAC thrive under Hibino-san’s management.”
