Havas re-hires Andrea Conyard after 16 years to lead Singapore creative and PR agencies

Andrea ConyardHavas has appointed a new managing director to oversee its local creative operations in Singapore.

Re-joining the agency where he worked as an account intern at what was formerly known as Euro RSCG in the late nineties is Andrea Conyard. He joins from independent business to business agency Gyro, where he was MD.

Conyard takes on the former job of Dan Gibson, whose move back to the UK emerged in September, and will oversee creative agency brands Havas Worldwide Singapore and Host Singapore as group managing director. But he will also lead PR agency Havas Worldwide Siren.

He has a brief to drive the integration of Havas’ creative, media and PR agencies, which are housed under one roof in the ‘Havas Village’ on Robinson Road.

In a statement, Conyard said: “My goals remain simple and pragmatic – stay curious, innovate, create great work, always keep teams motivated and happy, break rules, explore new ideas, take risks and above all: be measurable and accountable.”

Over Conyard’s career, he has worked at Mangham Gaxiola, OgilvyOne, Arc Worldwide, Grey and Wunderman where he oversaw clients including Singtel, Diageo, IBM, Daimler Chrysler, HP, SKii, Tiger Beer and Oracle.

Havas Worldwide’s Southeast Asia boss Levent Guenes commented: “With a solid track record of leadership excellence, sharp business acumen, an exceptional mind-set and his expertise in innovative and digital solutions, I believe Andrea is a great asset to complement our ambitions in the market and the region.”

“Singapore remains a strong focus for the group and Andrea will enjoy all the support required of the global and regional teams to fulfil our ambitious growth targets”, he said.
