Philips moves Winston Phua from Shanghai to Singapore as Asean head of brand
Electronics giant Philips has appointed Winston Phua as head of brand, communications and digital for Asean and Pacific.
The Singaporean moves from China, where he was Philips’ VP and head of marketing for its consumer lifestyle division, back to his home country to take on the role.
His move comes seven months after Damien Cummings, who did a similar role at Philips Asean, left to join Standard Chartered Bank.
Phua’s remit is brand positioning, communications and digital marketing for all of Philips’ businesses in 10 markets. He will also be overseeing the Conversation Engine, a real-time marketing unit set up by Cummings.
He takes more than 18 years of experience into the role, having previously worked at Procter & Gamble, Apple and MTV.
