Wynthia Goh, the head of social and digital for SAP in Asia Pacific and Japan, has moved on after a four-year stint to join Aviva as chief digital officer at the insurance firm’s recently launched digital innovation hub in Singapore.

The Singaporean takes on a newly created position with a brief to improve engagement with customers online, and expand and develop the company’s digital operations.

She will report to global chief digital officer Andrew Brem, and joins Aviva’s “digital garage”, a digital hub set up in July to test and produce new ways to improve customer services.

Goh has overseen the transition of SAP’s digital marketing to an always-on model since joining from Avaya, where she was APAC marketing director, in 2012.

She has spent the later part of her career on the client side of the business in senior regional marketing roles with Ebay and Nokia. But like so many successful digital marketing practitioners in Asia, she had a spell at XM – now Mirum – where she spent three years as a strategist and account director. She started her career as a research analyst.

SAP told Mumbrella that the company was “actively searching internally and externally for her replacement.”

Goh, who among the judging panel for the inaugural Mumbrella Asia Awards in 2014, is among a number of digital marketers in Singapore to have left their jobs in recent months.

Mondelez International innovation director Pete Mitchell, AXA Singapore digital head Vaasu Gavarasana and Lenovo social and digital boss Rod Strother have moved on in recent weeks, with Strother joining StarHub as head of digital transformation, Marketing reported last week.
