Clear Channel wins bus advertising contract for new Tower Transit fleet in Singapore
Clear Channel has been awarded a contract to sell advertising on buses for UK operator Tower Transit, which is launching a fleet of vehicles in Singapore early this year.
The announcement:
Singapore – Clear Channel has won the exclusive 5-year contract to manage the bus-wrap advertising operations of Singapore’s third local bus operator, Tower Transit Singapore starting from May 2016.
Singapore’s much-coveted first public bus contract was awarded to the London-based Tower Transit in May 2015. The contract will see it operate 26 bus services in the Western part of the island starting mid-2016. The company recently held a carnival for the public at its new Bulim Bus Depot where it revealed its Bus Captain’s uniform, chosen through an online poll.
“Since we were awarded the Bulim bus contract, we’ve invigorated the bus industry by introducing new ways of doing things. We believe this partnership with Clear Channel will have that same forward momentum that will help to push the boundaries of Out-of-Home advertising,” said Andrew Bujtor, Managing Director, Tower Transit Singapore.
This advertising contract win represents a significant milestone for Clear Channel Singapore. The win follows on from the recent announcement of Clear Channel’s seven-fold expansion of its digital 6-sheet inventory – Clear Channel Play 2.0 which encompasses 200 state-of-the-art digital panels on the streets of Singapore.
“The partnership with Tower Transit Singapore further strengthens our position as a true Out-of-Home company. The fleet of Tower Transit buses enhances the scale of our OOH inventory (of 5,000 static OOH and 200 digital OOH displays, mobile-enabled bus shelters and Orchard Road billboard).
A large, diverse inventory like ours offers real advantage to advertisers. We are able to draw upon our insights into audience, environment and proximity response, deliver highly-targeted OOH campaigns, and create new ways to connect with consumers on-the-move.” Kelly Khoo, Chief Executive Officer, Clear Channel Singapore.

Dear Mr. Norman,
I would like to tender my resignation on July 2016.
Please provide me the total amount that I need to pay for my bond.
Reasons are given below:
5 days work
I rejected SMRT offer for 5 days work because of low salary.
I rejected GoAhead offer because of 7 days work.
Now TTS scheduled 7 days work; some Bus Captains work 8 days, some 9 days.
Service 143
Route planning was done only using the positive factor and did not include the negative factor.
Example: One of the project done by an Australian company failed because the Australian company only used the positive factor.
The same project done by a Japanese company was Good at the first try, Perfect at the second try and Excellent at
the third try because the Japanese company used both the positive and negative factor for the schedule.
Most of the time I have skip my lunch/dinner and tea-breaks to continue the delayed service.
Rotten Apples
After my surveying I found out TTS employed the arrogant, bossy, stubborn and staffs waiting to be terminated from SBS and SMRT.
SMRT’s 5 days work was changed to 6 days work by these Rotten Apples.
During TTS job interview there was no 7 days work mentioned.
Training
TTS is providing “monkey see, monkey do” method of training.
I was an Instructor in the Singapore Navy and later a part-time Defensive Driving Instructor in the National Safety Council of Singapore.
I provide professional life long trainings but in TTS, I get rubbish trainings…… I must sort out the good and correct things from the rubbish.
Favoritism
Former SBS and SMRT bus captains are given the choice to choose the easy, non-stressful and more overtime services.
Why not give the former bus captains to operate the difficult services like 143?
All the former SBS / SMRT bus captains claim that they can run the 143 service with the present schedule and we, the new bus captains are not capable.
Resume
Attached is my Resume ( TTS not interested in updating into my Profile ) to proof that I am not an “empty vessel making noise”.
For Your Info
All non-SMRT bus captains are asking me to recommend them once I join SMRT with 5 days work.
SMRT was running 5 days work when the Rotten Apples that TTS employed changed to 6 days work.
Conclusion
TTS management is not keen to resolve the grievances of their bus captains.
The whole TTS has became one family of Rotten Apples!!!!!
Yours truly,
P. Moorthy
