Mediacorp moves into cinema advertising in Singapore with Eng Wah Global deal

MediacorpMediacorp has struck a deal with Eng Wah Global to erect outdoor advertising spaces in 321 Clementi, a shopping mall in Singapore, as well as in Jubilee Square and Ang Mo Kio, the company has announced.

The deal also marks Mediacorp’s entry into cinema advertising, with Mediacorp OOH now handling advertising for WE Cinemas in 321 Clementi.

Mediacorp OOH Media has recently secured advertising spaces in Clementi’s newest mall, 321 Clementi, as well as Jubilee Square in Ang Mo Kio. 12 new advertising spots in 321 Clementi and 33 new advertising spaces in Jubilee Square are available to advertisers who want to reach out to the suburban community. In addition, advertisers may now engage Mediacorp OOH Media for cinema advertising in WE Cinemas in 321 Clementi.

Mediacorp OOH Media’s partnership with Eng Wah Global is significant as it marks the company’s first venture into cinema advertising. 321 Clementi’s cinema advertisers have an almost exclusive reach in this area, serving families and youths as the mall is home to the only movie theatre in Clementi and houses 3D digital hall and premium cinema concept – First Class.

With crowds from 2 other shopping hubs, advertisers will definitely be able to capture the audience in this bustling neighbourhood.

321 Clementi is known as the cinema mall, an extraordinary movie destination that is complemented with lifestyle services, fitness and iconic food and beverage brands. It is an award* winning nine-level commercial development totaling approximately 80,000 square feet of leasable space, which includes a 10 hall cinema multiplex, a rooftop garden with a playground, a private rooftop swimming pool, a large premium fitness centre, and two basement of car parking lots. A 5-minute walk away from Clementi MRT station and bus interchange, it serves a population catchment of 112,000** residents living in the Clementi, Holland, and Dover Districts and is also a hotspot for youths from schools and tertiary institutions nearby and health enthusiasts from the gym in the mall and the sports stadium opposite. The exterior of the mall hosts 4 advertising spots while the interior of the mall offers 7 advertising spaces. Fitness First is the maiden advertiser to take advantage of these new spaces in 321 Clementi.

Jubilee Square is a landmark, and has been a part of the Ang Mo Kio community and serves as a choice venue for shoppers. Jubilee Square is a contemporary mid-market mall, and a well-established destination for education, shopping, dining, wellness, and lifestyle needs. A 5-minute walk from Ang Mo Kio MRT station and bus interchange, it is surrounded by 24-hour eateries and heartland shops and serves a population catchment of about 180,000** residents living in the Ang Mo Kio, Thomson and Yio Chu Kang districts. With tertiary institutions in the area, students are also gathered in this proximity alongside with working adults from the nearby industrial estates. Advertisers can tap on an additional network of 32 pillar banners located on the exterior of the mall as well as 1 billboard banner on the mall façade.
