H+K Strategies hires TCL marketer QC Liang as China CEO
PR firm H+K Strategies has hired client-side QC Liang from TCL as chief executive of its China operation, a new role at the company.
Liang will run H+K’s operations in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, and report to Ye Yu, China chairman and APAC EVP.
After nine years at TCL based in Shenzhen, as assistant president and GM of branding and then MD of TCL’s media and entertainment business, he returns to the agency side of the business having had stints at APCO and Fleishman-Hillard, brands he helped establish in China before moving client-side.
“QC Liang’s appointment comes at an important time for Hill+Knowlton Strategies as we expand our service portfolio for Chinese companies growing their brands globally,” said Jack Martin, global chairman and CEO, Hill+Knowlton Strategies in a press release.
“QC’s experience combined with Ye Yu’s extensive knowledge of our global network positions us strongly to bring the best solutions to Chinese brands.”
