CNN has signed Indonesia’s Ministry of Tourism as a sponsor for its Talk Asia show.

The announcement:

CNN International has announced Indonesia’s Ministry of Tourism as the key sponsor of its flagship talk show ‘Talk Asia’. The six-month sponsorship is a multi-platform partnership tailored to reach CNN’s influential and upscale audience.

‘Talk Asia’ has been a critical part of CNN’s international programming line-up for 15 years. The 30-minute monthly feature program explores the personalities behind the newsmakers across a diverse range of industries including the arts, entertainment, politics, sports and business.

Engaging and informative, ‘Talk Asia’ attracts some of the world’s biggest names – many of whom rarely give interviews. The up-coming April episode features American fashion designer Calvin Klein. He speaks to CNN’s Mallika Kapur in Mumbai, India, about the fashion empire he founded in 1968. Other recent guests to sit down for a one-on-one interview include Tesla CEO and entrepreneur Elon Musk, legendary actor Robert De Niro, celebrity chef Gordon Ramsey, fashion icon Anna Wintour and the world’s number one tennis player Novak Djokovic.

Hosted by some of CNN’s most experienced anchors and correspondents including Kristie Lu Stout, Anna Coren, and Andrew Stevens, the one-on-one format allows for an in-depth and insightful dialogue. The extended interview goes beyond the headlines and allows the personality to truly open up and reveal parts of themselves rarely seen.

The Indonesian Ministry of Tourism sponsorship begins in April and will continue until September 2016. As well as on-air billboards, vignettes and promos, the sponsorship also includes digital ads on the ‘Talk Asia’ feature page plus social media engagement across platforms including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

The Calvin Klein episode goes to air on April 7, 2016 at 1630 HKT.
