Havas wins Beijing Benz social brief

The social media arm of Havas, Socialyse, has been appointed as social media agency of record for Beijing Benz in China.

The announcement:

Shanghai, 19th April –Beijing Benz Automotive Co. Ltd. (BBAC) has appointed Socialyse, the social media agency of Havas, as the social AOR in China.

BBAC is a Sino-German joint venture corporation co-invested by BAIC Motor Co., Ltd. (BAIC Motor), Daimler AG and Daimler Greater China Ltd. Its business scope ranges from R&D, engine & completed vehicle manufacturing, sales to after-sales service. As a leading world-class automobile manufacturing enterprise in China, by taking “We Enhance Mobility and Quality of Life” as its mission, BBAC is committed to providing Chinese customers with products & service consistent with Mercedes-Benz global standard.

The agency won the business following a competitive three-way pitch, involving Ogilvy.

Havas China, through Socialyse, will be responsible for crafting BBAC’s social media strategy for 2016 with the agency’s work scope covering management of social platforms, content creation and planning as well as promotion of above- and below-the-line campaigns.
