Blis secures $25m in Series B funding for international expansion
Location-based ad tech firm Blis, which quietly rebranded from Blis Media last week, has secured US$25m in Series B funding for international expansion, sales and marketing.
The firm is to boost investment in its existing APAC offices in Singapore and Hong Kong, launch in the US, and explore other locations in Southeast Asia as well as look at opportunities to enter India.
The investment comes off the back of new investors Endeit Capital, Beringea US and Unilever Ventures, as well as additional credit provided by Silicon Valley Bank.
Martijn Hamann of Endeit Capital, Mark Donnelly of Beringea US and Ian Lane of Unilever Ventures join Blis founder and CEO Greg Isbister, president Harry Dewhirst, and Rob Hodgkinson of Beringea UK on the Blis board of directors.
Isbister commented: “We firmly believe that location technology is the future of digital advertising and we’re delighted to have received significant funding to support our expansion. The investment recognises the unique value of location and Blis’ market-leading data platform.”
