Dimension Data marketer Ruth Rowan, the founding chair of The Marketing Society’s regional arm, steps down more than two years after the society was set up in Hong Kong, and later in Singapore.

There is also a change of leadership at the Marketing Society of Southeast Asia, with MullenLowe Profero global boss Wayne Arnold calling time on the chairmanship, and Erica Kerner, VP of marketing and communications at Tiffany & Co. Asia Pacific, replacing him, based in Singapore.

Guy Parsonage, formerly the boss of Fluid and now partner, PwC Experience Centre, PwC China & Hong Kong after the agency was acquired, takes on the new role of chair, Hong Kong, after a stint as vice chair.

Gemma Greaves, head of The Marketing Society Global, commented: “Without doubt having two of Asia’s top marketers lead us is a big reason for our success so far. We are incredibly grateful for all Ruth and Wayne’s hard work, vision and dedication during their time with us and I’m delighted that they will both remain part of the Society as active members.

“Looking forward, we are really excited about our new Chairs Erica, Guy and Tricia – three exceptional marketers with invaluable experience within this important region – who I know will be a formidable driving force in further building our member base and shaping our programme of events.”
