JWT hires Marco Versolato from Brazilian hotshop DM9DDB as Singapore CCO

Marco VersolatoJ. Walter Thompson has hired Marco Versolato from Brazilian creative hotshop DM9DDB as Singapore chief creative officer and global ECD for the Lux business.

Versolato moves into former job of Valerie Cheng, who has since moved to the inhouse creative team at Facebook.

He brings 20 years of experience to the job, having worked with clients including Ita Bank, InBev’s Guaraná, Intel, Telefônica-Vivo, Whirlpool, McDonalds, L&G, and Johnson & Johnson.

At DM9DDB, Versolato has been VP ECD for the last five years,, and has also worked at Y&R Brazil, TBWA, DPZ&T and Almap BBDO.

Awards wise, Versolato has 30 Cannes lions to his name, and has also been recognised at D&AD, One Show, Clio, and El Sol. He represented Brazil as an Outdoor jury member at Cannes in 2010.
